OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) â€“ Dr Richard Rosenberger, principal at Clyde Boyd Middle School in Sand Springs, has been named the 2006 Oklahoma middle school principal of the year.

The announcement were made Wednsday by Dr. Linda Everett, executive director of the Oklahoma Association of Secondary School Principals.

Rosenberger will receive his award at a conference of school administrators in August in Oklahoma City.

Everett said Rosenberger "dedicates himself to middle level education and is definitely a committed leader in the Oklahoma Association of Secondary School Principals."

Rosenberger has been principal at Clyde Boyd since 1998 and before that was an assistant principal and teacher at Broken Arrow.
