OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The number of people killed on Oklahoma roadways is on the rise.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports 134 people have been killed in traffic accidents in 2006, up from 116 the same time one year ago.

The number of people killed in traffic accidents in the month of March also is up from last year. The O-H-P reports 36 people have been killed so far this month, compared to 32 the same time last year.
