An early Monday morning traffic accident involving a Tulsa Public School bus sends one person to the hospital.

Tulsa Police say the accident happened just before 7 AM Monday near Highway 11 and Harvard. According to officers, a school bus with only the driver on board pulled in front of an oncoming car on Harvard Avenue. The car crashed into the rear of the bus and came to rest in a nearby field.

The driver of car was taken to a local hospital in critial condition, her name has not been released. The driver of the school bus was not hurt.
