A routine traffic stop turns into a high speed chase overnight in east Tulsa.
It started when a Tulsa Police officer tried to stop a car for a tag light violation. The driver took off and led police on a 15 minute chase.
He bailed out of the car and ran off. The car rolled about a block until it hit a curb near 2nd and Urbana.
The driver was arrested. Tulsa Police also confiscated a weapon.
In a seperate incident, two juveniles are in custody following another police chase.
About 5 AM Tuesday, a Tulsa Police officer spotted a badly damaged Toyota near Admiral and Delaware. After a check of the tag on the vehicle, it was determined the vehicle was stolen. Several officers tried to stop the car and the chase was on.
The chase ended on East Marshall Street in front of one of the juvenile's home. Both juveniles were taken into custody.
Investigators are trying to determine what the teens may have hit in the car before they where spotted by police.
