KINGSTON, Okla. (AP) -- Detectives in the Marshall County town of Kingston say an 11-year-old girl there made up a story about being abducted.

The girl told police on Thursday that she was riding her bike when a man in a red SUV stopped and dragged her into a wooded area. She told police the man's hand slipped off her mouth and she screamed and the man ran away.

But detectives say they believe the girl lied because her stepfather has a hand-drawn tattoo identical to the one the girl described on her attacker.
