PURCELL, Okla. (AP) _ A judge issued a gag order Tuesday in the brutal killing of a 10-year-old Purcell girl in what investigators say was a man's attempt to eat human flesh.

Special District Judge Gary Barger met with prosecution and defense attorneys in his chambers Tuesday then signed the order. It prohibits attorneys, investigators and police authorities from talking publicly about the case.

Kevin Underwood is charged with first-degree murder in the death last week of Jamie Rose Bolin. The girl disappeared last Wednesday and her body was found Friday stuffed in a container inside Underwood's apartment.

Prosecutors say they will ask for the death penalty.

Defense attorneys said Tuesday they would ask for a gag order because officials had made inflammatory and prejudicial comments to the media.

Prosecutors said they wouldn't oppose the order.
