A Broken Arrow teacher cleared of drug charges is heading back to the classroom.

Becky Meador and her husband were arrested last fall, after police found a shed full of marijuana plants.

She's been suspended from her job at Park Lane Elementary for almost six months.

Now, a judge has dismissed all of the charges against her. News on 6 reporter Ashli Sims tells us the Teacher of the Year can't wait to get back to class.

Becky Meador says she knew this day would come.

Almost six months ago, Meador's life was practically ripped out from under her.

Becky and her husband Robert were arrested, after the police found 45 marijuana plants in a shed in their backyard.

She was jailed, charged with growing marijuana and posession with intent to distribute.

Then, the recently named Teacher of the Year at Park Lane Elementary was suspended from her job. But Becky Meador says she never lost faith.

"I trust in our legal system," says Meador. "And I trust that the truth would come out, and it did."

Becky's attorney Luke Wallace says her husband admitted his wife had nothing to do with the drugs.

"It was in a backyard shed that was locked and then that lock was kept in a safe and only he had the combination," Wallace says.

Becky Meador says her predicable schedule teaching and caring for the couple's young daughter made it easy for her to be deceived.

Meador says, "I have a schedule that's very set and that was very different from the schedule that Robert was following. And you know when you have the freedom and flexibility in your schedule you can, it was very easy for that to be hidden from me."

Now that the charges have been dismissed, Broken Arrow Public Schools has reinstated the fifth grade teacher. Park Lane's principal notified all of the parents and they say so far the response has been positive.

Becky Meador says she missed the classroom every day.

And even though there are only 21 days left in the year, she can't wait to get back to it. She'll take over her old class on Monday.

Charges against Robert Meador are still pending.
