With high gas costs, we’re looking for ways to save money and conserve. The News on 6 found a Tulsa company with a brand new product that promises improved horsepower, emissions and best of all, gas mileage.

News on 6 reporter Rick Wells looks at a new product to help those gallons go farther.

It is a small plastic cylinder called a Power Plus Ignitor that contains a special resin that's designed to improve engine performance.

James Hill: "It captures energy that's normally being lost and puts it back into the plug, that's basically what it does." It snaps onto each sparkplug wire, he says the extra energy it traps helps burn fuel more efficiently and improves engine performance.

You're skeptical, I know and it really doesn't look like much. James Hill and Mike Sitton two of the owners of Power Plus Ignitor said they were too when they first saw it, so they tried it, they liked it, and then they bought the company.

Since then they've had them tested and collected written testimonials from folks who've tried them.

Although exact results will vary the product is guaranteed to improve engine performance. James Hill: "Try 'em on your lawn mower first, try 'em on your weed eater, something small, when they notice incredable results, it works the same way on the vehicle.”

They are working on a marketing and distribution plan now so we should be seeing them in stores in the next few weeks. They will come in packages of four, six and eight, depending on the size of the engine. A product for diesel engines will be available in the next few months.
