CATOOSA, Okla. (AP) -- The director of the Tulsa Port of Catoosa says heating coils are the suspected cause of a fire and explosion Monday morning at an asphalt processing plant at the port.

There are no injuries.

Bob Portiss says heating coils under a small asphalt processing tank are the likely cause of the fire the produced thick, black smoke at Sem Materials.

He says firefighters arrived quickly and the fire was out after about an hour.

Sem Materials is a subsidiary of Tulsa-based SemGroup and is one of the largest asphalt producers in the US and Mexico.
