64 years after the attack on the USS Oklahoma, those killed will finally be remembered with a permanent memorial.

The Oklahoma was one of nine battleships attacked at Pearl Harbor. 429 sailors and Marines died.

Every ship except the Oklahoma had a memorial, until now. A sketch for the USS Oklahoma momument was unveiled at the state capitol Friday.

It will take $750,000 to build. The Oklahoma Centennial Commission is contributing $100,000.
