SULPHUR, Okla. (AP) _ A 58-year-old Roff woman has died after her car ran off state Highway 1 near Sulphur and struck a row of trees.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Linda Sue McCoy was driving north when she attempted to pass a vehicle in a no passing zone and lost control of her car.

The accident occurred around 7:30 PM Sunday about one mile south of the county line dividing Murray and Pontotoc counties in south-central Oklahoma.

The highway patrol says McCoy was not wearing her seat belt.
