ENID, Okla. (AP) -- Enid Mayor Mike Cooper says Vance Air Force Base is in line for 99 new jobs under base realignment plans that appear to be set.

Cooper says the base will gain 93 military and six civilian jobs and get 25 more training aircraft.

Vance will also add part of the undergraduate pilot training mission that's moving from Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta, Georgia. The Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training and the Introduction to Fighter Fundamentals training programs for pilots and weapons systems officers is also moving from Moody to Vance.

And Vance will be home of an $8.7-million Armed Forces Reserve Center. The Base Realignment and Closure Commission voted to build seven reserve centers while closing 53 National Guard Armory buildings in Oklahoma.
