UNDATED (AP) _ Traffic deaths are on the decline across the state. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says fewer motorists have been killed on the state's roads and highways so far this year than during the same period last year.


A total of 510 deaths have been recorded on state roadways this year. A total of 604 people were killed in the state during the same period last year.


So far this month, a total of 35 people have died on Oklahoma highways. Troopers say that during the same period in September 2004, 58 people were killed.
