The Oklahoma Lottery starts Wednesday with the sale of scratch-off tickets at more than 1,200 locations across the state.

In Tulsa, convenience stores are gearing up for the big day. "Daily Stop" near 15th and Delaware had their lotto machine installed a week ago. The owners went to a 2-hour training class. They hope it will be enough to get them through the initial bumps when the lottery starts.

Ashraf Salim: "I wish we'd had a little more training so we'd know what to do.. most of it is going to be educating the customer on how the actual lottery works.. how the pick three works.. which we need to learn first so we can explain it to them."

Governor Brad Henry hopes the lottery will produce $150-million for schools in its first full year and about $65-million during the current fiscal year, which ends June 30th of next year.
