An Oklahoma prison escapee was caught overnight after several days on the run.

Pharon Johnson was arrested last night in Midwest City.

News On 6's Omar Villafranca tells us 49-year old Pharon Johnson is a convicted rapist.. and you can add escape artist to his list of crimes.

He called his family from a grocery store late last night then turned himself into police.

Johnson escaped last Sunday with convicted murdered Aaron Olsen.

Both inmates car-jacked a Tulsa woman in the parking lot of the correctional center then later released her unharmed.

Her stolen van was found in Kansas, just miles from the Oklahoma border.

When Johnson was arrested he didn't give police any clues as to where Olsen might be hiding.

Olsen is a 39-year old white male, about 5 feet 10 inches weighing 140 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
