NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- American idol and Checotah native Carrie Underwood is now a Cosmo girl.

Underwood is featured in the November issue of Cosmo Girl! Magazine that's now on newsstands. She talks about growing up in Checotah, steer wrestling and barrel racing.

She's also going to be featured on Cosmo Girls! prom cover due out in December.

Underwood recently finished recording her debut album called "Some Hearts" that's due in stores November 15th.
