A welcome home for some Oklahoma soldiers. More than 100 citizen soldiers are back home with their families after serving their country overseas for more than a year.

News on 6 anchor Tami Marler was with the 827th Quartermaster Company when they left Muskogee in February of last year. She was back for their homecoming Thursday afternoon and says the soldiers of the 827th have served in several countries this last year.

Most recently in Iraq, where their first sergeant say they shared some good times and some misery. But Donald Reeves said he'd get all of his soldiers back alive and he did.

Many of them left behind little ones who've gone through a year of changes, like the Fletcher family. Colton, Mahaley, Logan made specialist Harold Fletcher promise he wouldn't be leaving to play army again. Shellie Fletcher says once her husband's responsibilities are sewn up in Muskogee, he'll be able to come home to his family after a long year apart. "They don’t have to report to their drill weekend until June or July, they're done. They're completely done after this."

SPFC Harold Fletcher: "It was tough on them because the little girl there, she always wondered when Daddy was coming home. If I had to go back and play Army."

Mahaley Fletcher: "He won't go back to the Army? He's staying with us. He's what? He's staying with us."
