(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Questionable court orders have prevented to more than $1-million in bond forfeitures being collected in Oklahoma County.

The Daily Oklahoman reports several Oklahoma County judges have repeatedly allowed certain bail bondsmen to avoid paying the forfeitures.

Court records show more than 130 court orders pushed back the deadlines for bail bondsmen to bring accused criminals to court. The deadlines would normally cause the bondsmen to lose the money they had posted.

In some cases, the deadlines were extended for years.

District Judge Twyla Gray says many of the orders violated state law.
