Another round of spring storms hit eastern Oklahoma Wednesday. In Oklahoma City it looked more like winter than spring.

There was lots of hail. It piled up about a foot high along some Oklahoma City area highways, causing some drivers to get stuck. There was so much of it; some folks actually had to get their shovels!

There was a funnel cloud forming near Purcell in Cleveland County. We're told it never touched the ground. But it was a sign of how dangerous these storms could be.

Closer to home, the storms spawned a funnel cloud here in Green Country. A funnel cloud was spotted near Sand Springs.

Creek County was hard hit by Wednesday night's storms. Straight line winds came through about 6:30 PM, and toppled two mobile homes which were side by side. Both homes were unoccupied and no one was hurt. Other nearby residents got out of the way of the storm as it blew in.

Resident, Roy Morris: "At first it was pretty calm, and then the wind started blowing and swirling. The rain come down, you couldn't see anything. You maybe had 25 feet of visibility. Then the hail started coming down and started hearing trees pop.”

There were reports of marble sized hail in the area. Beside the two homes that were destroyed, several small buildings were also heavily damaged. Many homes in the area were left without power.

Near Mannford, they had very large hail. The storms also brought with them a lot of heavy rain, which caused some street flooding. There were also several reports of hail around the Tulsa metro area.

And the severe weather also put on quite a light show. Right now we're told there about 900 homes without power in the metro Tulsa area.
