(Wyandotte-AP) -- The manager of the Wyandotte Nation of Oklahoma's now-closed casino in Kansas City, Kansas, faces gambling-related charges.

Tribal police arrested Ellis Enyart Thursday night on a Kansas warrant of possession of a gambling device and receiving earnings from a gambling place.

Enyart was later released on his own recognizance and is due in Ottawa County District Court to announce if he'll fight extradition.

Kansas authorities closed the tribe's casino April 1st, a week after the National Indian Gaming Commission ruled it is not on tribal land and was operating illegally.

The tribe is appealing the ruling.
