Tulsa Police shoot and kill a suspect in a rash of local thefts. The alleged victim in a south Tulsa carjacking tells us she's pleased with detectives' handling of her case, but sad that the suspect died at such a young age.

23 year-old Donald Ellison Junior led Tulsa Police on a chase that spanned several blocks and ended near 8th and Troost. New on 6 anchor Tami Marler says Donald Ellison was out on bond, after being charged this week in a Tulsa home burglary.

Tulsa Police say they had a home under surveillance in the 1800 block of East Apache Friday morning when Ellison took off on a motorcycle. Officers found out it was stolen, then tried to pull Ellison over.

Tulsa Police Sgt Kim Presley: "Officers then chased him through several alleys and back in different directions in this neighborhood. And the suspect did turn around; he had a gun in his hand and pointed the gun at the officers."

Witness Brandon Bruce: "So I got up and I looked out my bedroom window by the dumpster and there was a female officer with her weapon drawn. I guess he still had the weapon in his hand and she told him, 'drop the weapon, I will kill you. And I heard another male officer yelling 'get down, get on the ground, and drop your weapon.' And then I heard the first shot."

Tulsa Police officers Debra Glenn and Keith Michie reportedly fired a total of five shots. They're both on routine suspension pending a full investigation.

A woman has also identified Ellison as the man who carjacked her in south Tulsa last week.
