OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The process of accrediting scandal-plagued Oral Roberts University is now under way.
Accreditation by the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability is 1 of the stipulations by Oklahoma City businessman Mart Green before he would donate $62 million to ORU.
Green's family gave ORU $8 million and promised the 62 million more if the school changed it's operations.
Council President Kenneth Behr says the accreditation process will take several months.
Behr says because ORU's financial troubles are so publicized the accreditation will be public so donors and others can see the school is trying to overcome its problems.
