OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Freezing drizzle has fallen across much of Oklahoma leaving roads icy in all but southeastern Oklahoma and in the Panhandle and far northwestern Oklahoma.
Some schools in northeastern and southwestern Oklahoma are closed today because of the slick conditions.
Numerous traffic accidents were reported this morning across the state including one that shut down Interstate 35 in south Oklahoma City for nearly four hours.
One traffic fatality was reported in eastern Oklahoma Monday afternoon when the Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Billy Joe Goodwin of Broken Arrow hit a patch of ice while passing a semi and skidded into a culvert. Goodwin was dead at the scene.
No power outages were reported early Tuesday.
