Former Mayor Expected To Plead In Manslaughter Case

A manslaughter case against a former Haskell mayor may be decided Wednesday.  Charley Smith's trial was supposed to begin Monday but was postponed when the judge called in sick.

A manslaughter case against a former Haskell mayor may be decided Wednesday.  Charley Smith's trial was supposed to begin Monday but was postponed when the judge called in sick. 

Smith is expected to enter a guilty plea for causing an accident in October 2006 that killed Shawn Lee of Coweta. 

The former mayor was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.
