On the ballot Super Tuesday: registered voters in the northeastern Oklahoma counties of Payne, Rogers and Nowata will decide on sales tax issues aimed at improving area roads, bridges and fire protection.  The community of Morgan's Corner will vote on establishing a rural fire district.

Payne County voters will decide on a five-year extension of a 3/8 cent sales tax levy.  Money raised from the tax is for road and bridge improvements, capital outlay and operations for the Payne County Extension Center and fair board, Extension Center and rural firefighter equipment, and general fund purchases.

County roads and bridges will receive 53 percent of the revenue.  Twenty percent will go to the Expo Square, 15 percent to county general; 7 percent to the Extension Center and 5 percent to fund rural fire protection.

In Rogers County, voters will cast their ballots for or against a renewal of a one cent sales tax for county roads and bridges.

Nowata County residents will vote on a two year, 1 percent sales tax to fund maintenance and construction of county roads.

Morgan's Corner, located between Skiatook and Hominy on Highway 20, will vote on establishing a rural fire district.
