The City of Tulsa is spending millions of dollars to recover from the December 2007 ice storm. The current estimate of the debris cleanup cost is $20 million.
That estimate includes the cost of monitoring the cleanup and grinding up the limbs. FEMA will reimburse the city with federal taxes for 87% of the cost. The city and state will split the rest.
