On a mission to heighten awareness during Black History Month, a Broken Arrow High School senior has created a series of videos for his peers.  In a series of six episodes airing on Tiger TV, Jared Rencher interviews black historic figures.  He uses technology provided by the school to edit the video and make the figures come to life.

Rencher says he wanted to shine light on lesser known historical figures, such as Jacob Lawrence and Satchel Paige and explain their contributions to American History.

"We've got a lot of entertainment based teenagers so if we're going to get info to them I want to make it very interesting and something they would easily look at," said Rencher.

Rencher says the idea came to him after his sophomore year when he used to host a question and answer program over the school's intercom.
