An electrical fire broke out overnight on Sunday in the Tulsa World newspaper pressroom. Firefighters with the Tulsa Fire Department were called to 315 S. Boulder Ave. around 1:30 a.m.

Officials say the fire started in the subbasement. Crews say before they arrived to the scene, an employee fought the flames with a fire extinguisher. Then, firefighters worked to make sure the flames were out and started ventilating the building.

Everyone inside was safely evacuated and no injuries were reported. Workers were allowed back into the building shortly after 2 a.m.

According to the Tulsa World website, the fire put a halt to newspaper production for Sunday. About 60,000 customers received Sunday's paper. Other subscribers will still get two classified sections, the TV World, and advertising inserts. Tulsa World officials say they hope to deliver sections of the Sunday Tulsa World on Monday.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
