Searchers combed an area near Broken Arrow on Wednesday for the body of 13-year-old Cori Baker.  Volunteers trudged through the woods and mud behind Floral Haven Cemetery for any clues that might help locate the remains of the missing Union student.  Newson6.com's Margaret Stokes reports some of the searchers have been a part of the effort since November.  Others were there for the first time.

Several of Cori's immediate family members were at the search, but most of the 25 searchers were volunteers who just want to help. Cadaver dogs worked the area, and Cori's grandmother told the News On 6 the dogs hit in one location four times, but no physical evidence was found.

The hits were around a drainage area that's being drained in order to search more closely on Thursday. The family says the number of volunteers each day has a lot to do with the dropping temperatures.  But, the cold weather Wednesday didn't stop searchers like Bearnice Bonham, who despite having bad knees, came to Broken Arrow to help look for Cori.

She was disappointed little progress was made.

"Sad, sad. It's something you can't explain.  We're just going out to where we think someone may have been tossed out and covered up. It's been bothering me really bad ever since it happened and I just haven't been able to come out. I can imagine what him and his family are going through," said Bernice Bonham.

As winter weather moves in, it could have an effect on how many volunteers show up to search on Thursday.
