An Oklahoma native, known internationally as the American master of the flamenco guitar is touring Tulsa schools this week.

Ronald Radford has performed at New York's Carnegie Hall, Washington's Kennedy Center, and is now back in his home state working to inspire passion in the students of today.

His program is put on by the Arts Foundation, and funded by the George Kaiser Foundation and the Bezalel Foundation. Radford was born in California, but grew up in Oklahoma. He's toured internationally and was a student of the legendary Flamenco guitarist Carlos Montoya and Andres Segovia.

Radford claims to use music as a metaphor for life lessons and encourages students to get in touch with their passion early on.

"That's what's most important, seeing the light in the eye of the kids. It makes me feel like I'm really making a difference; some long term difference in their lives that might guide them to their passion later in life," said Flamenco Guitarist Ronald Radford.
