Oklahomans rally at the Oklahoma Capitol on Wednesday in support of a law to make the state smoke-free.
In all, 35 different organizations focused on getting support for a bill that would completely ban smoking in all restaurants, bars, hotels and taverns. Right now, restaurants are just required to have separately ventilated smoking rooms.
"People are going into restaurants thinking that they are free from smoke because there's a separate room, but little do they know that it's still in there and they're still being affected by it," said Cherie Hightower with the American Cancer Society.
Senator David Meyers, the author of the anti-smoking bill, says he doesn't think he'll have the votes to pass his bill.
