Tulsa Public Schools is responding to the death of a 13-year-old student and subsequent arrest of the girl's 14-year-old classmate. Police say Sydney Dailey is dead after being stabbed nine times outside of her home in the 1300 block of North Boston Avenue.

A district crisis management team met with Madison administrators on Monday morning to finalize an outreach plan designed to assist in the healing process. The plan includes free counseling services during Spring Break and on-site crisis debriefing when classes resume at Madison on Monday, March 24th.

Officials with Tulsa Public Schools says crisis counselors will be available to anyone affected by this incident on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. Mental health professionals from Tulsa Public Schools, the Mental Health Association in Tulsa's Youth Outreach Services, and Family and Children's Services of Tulsa are ready to talk with students, parents, teachers, staff, and others who are conflicted by the range of emotions that come with sudden tragedy.

Counselors will be available, free of charge, on Tuesday and Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the following locations:

Greenwood Christian Center - 1519 West Pine (please enter through the NW door)
Sandy Park Resource Center - 6313 W. 11th Place

Anyone impacted by sudden loss can find mental health support through the Mental Health Association in Tulsa at 585-1213 and Family and Children's Services of Tulsa at 587-9471.

TPS representatives say they hope to provide a safe environment where patients and potential patients have a reasonable expectation of privacy.
