Hundreds Of Green Country Acres Burn

A thousand acres of Green Country are no longer green. Fire crews say high winds are to blame for a large wildfire at 4800 South 314 West Ave. near Mannford. Firefighters had to fight the fire with blow torches, to try to stop it from spreading.

No structures were threatened by the fire. So, firefighters allowed it to burn.

Most of the land burned was farmland.
