It's that time again for high school proms and the Sapulpa Police Department is making sure kids know when to call it a night.  On Friday, officers put Sapulpa students behind the wheel of a golf cart while wearing goggles that simulate the effects of being drunk.

Looking through the unique goggles, students experience blurred vision, an unclear depth perception and slowed reaction time.

"We hope it simulates an intoxicated driver and hope they make the right decision this time of year. And they don't put themselves behind the wheel or get in a car with someone who has been drinking," said Sapulpa Police Sergeant Fred Clark.

For many students wearing the goggles it took some time just to get the keys in the ignition to start the golf cart. And driving perfectly through the cones was pretty much impossible.
