The IRS is expecting the usual flurry of tax filings in the remaining days of the tax filing season, plus additional returns filed for economic stimulus payment purposes. Traditionally, about 25% to 30% of all federal individual income tax returns expected to be filed are filed during the last two weeks before and on the deadline day.
