Another multi-million dollar retail development is in the works for Jenks.  News On 6 anchor Jennifer Loren reports it's called Jenks Riverview and it will bring more restaurants, shopping and services to the west side of the river.

Most people speaking with The News On 6 welcome all the new development there, but some have concerns.

Thousands of drivers, in search of good food, shopping and entertainment cross the 96th Street bridge into Jenks every day.  Right now if they're not headed to the Oklahoma Aquarium, they must be going to the Riverwalk.

"I think that's great. I do. I think it's a nice area and the scenery's pretty and you can see downtown Tulsa and I like it," said Jenell Williams of Tulsa.

One of the developers, Tim Clark, says even though they've just broken ground on the $4 million center, retail space is going fast.  Louie's Sports Bar and Grill will be the anchor tenant and they're looking for a coffee shop and cigar bar.

"We'll work very well with them. I think it's going to bring more people to the area," said developer Tim Clark.

But with more people comes more traffic.  And, to the developers, traffic is a good thing.

"With the Riverwalk project and the River District project coming on and the aquarium as well, there's already a great deal of traffic here in front of our center," said developer Tim Clark.

But, to drivers who have to deal with it, they're not looking forward to more headaches, but say it'll be worth it for the entertainment value Jenks brings with it.

The City of Jenks says they don't see traffic as a problem in the area.  But, they say there is some relief on the horizon with a southbound turn off of 96th Street and more exits from the Riverwalk.
