Internet Task Force Nabs Suspect

A 24-year old Tulsa man is sitting in the Ottawa County jail after he tried to meet with who he thought was a minor child he had met on the Internet. 

Ottawa County Sheriff Terry Durborow said Brandon Coleman was arrested Friday evening in Miami, Oklahoma after he allegedly made arrangements over the Internet to also deliver marijuana to the minor child.  In addition, Durborow says Coleman had made several lewd proposals via the Internet during the course of a three month investigation. 

When sheriff's deputies arrested Coleman, they found a loaded .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol tucked in Coleman's waistband. 

Deputies also seized the "Buddy Scooter," Coleman rode to Miami on as well a laptop computer and cell phone. 

Coleman's bond was set at $250,000.  

Sheriff Durborow said his office is part of the nationwide Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, which is administered by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.  Durborow said he currently has two personnel assigned to the ICAC Unit.
