Mixed Response On New Emergency Districts

It was one vote for and one against, for establishing new emergency medical districts.

Voters in the Oologah-Talala Fire District approved a tax increase to raise more money to fund the ambulance service.  It passed by ten votes.  People with a home valued at $100,000 will pay an extra $1 a month in taxes.

In Jenks, voters turned down a similar vote to establish a new district.
