In two months, voters will do more than pick a president.  In Tulsa, they'll also vote on a $452 million plan to repair Tulsa's streets.  The News On 6's Emory Bryan reports the work is spread all over town, but it certainly doesn't touch every street.

The News On 6 has broken out the details so you can find out whether your vote will turn into work on your street.

Ben Smith knows something about Tulsa's streets, because he walks them every day with his dog.

"Well you see potholes a lot and the concrete coming apart, the top layer coming off and cracks," said Ben Smith.

But, until The News On 6 told him, he didn't know one of the streets he walks on is due for repairs under the city's five year plan.

The proposal is up for a vote November 4th.

The city has a complete list of where they'll be working.  To find the projects in a neighborhood, first you'll need to know the maintenance zone.

The numbers on the map correspond to a list showing exactly where the city plans to do work and how much it will cost.

For a broader view, there are also maps showing work zones.  On the map, those are the streets that are highlighted.

For example, 4th Place and South Alleghany is in maintenance zone 4016.   The street gets a lot of traffic, and the surface is breaking down.  It's typical of the many Tulsa streets that need major repairs.  The city says it just doesn't have the money to keep up with the need.

The backlog is not news to Ben.

"You can tell from looking at them right here than some of the places need to be redone," said Tulsan Ben Smith.
