TULSA, OK -- Police are trying to figure who shot an East Tulsa man. Officers say the suspects tried to force their way into the victim's apartment at the Candy Arms complex on 73rd East Avenue.

Police say the suspects ended up shooting the man when he tried to keep them out. The suspects then ran from the area, but the man's neighbor went after them.

"From what we understand is that as the suspects were leaving, some extra shots were fired by a fellow with maybe a rifle that was in an apartment next door," said TPD Sergeant Ted Umbarger.

Police say they don't believe the neighbor shot the suspects.
