'ARTSPACE' At Untitled Presents: Steamroller Print Festival

It’s an art gallery and so much more. ARTSPACE at Untitled not only showcases art, but they have also made a place for art to be created and taught.

“It’s kind of fun to watch these artists push themselves to experiment with something they’ve never done before,” said Laura Warriner founder and executive director, of ARTSPACE at Untitled.

Warriner bought the abandoned space in 1995, which was in really bad shape. “You could see daylight, I mean the sky when you walked in the front door,” said Warriner.

Warriner, however, saw a space that would change Oklahoma’s art scene. “In 2003 we decided that we wanted to be a nonprofit organization that gave back to the community,” said Warriner.

Today ARTSPACE at Untitled offers classes for youth and adults, with art exhibits that are truly special. “To see the exhibitions that we have brought in here you would have to go to New York or LA,” said Warriner.

This Saturday is the opportunity to test your artistic skills at The Steamroller Print Festival. “Steamroller is the largest print-making festival here in Oklahoma, I think it might be the largest in the Midwest,” said Anna Pickett, ARTSPACE director of education and development.

It’s a family-friendly free festival, with food trucks, live music and more, plus the chance to meet local artists and get some really cool art.

“Live art demonstrations inside the building, a lot of the local artists are going to be giving away free art as well,” said Pickett.

Plus, the opportunity to create your very own artwork. “Outside we are going to be printing over two hundred artists, including our own mentorship student’s relief blocks with a giant steam roller,” said Pickett.
