Tulsa teens turned models will soon strike a pose for a national audience.  The group is called 3D Confidence and their moves have earned them a spot on a national show.  News On 6 anchor Latoya Silmon reports what started off as an after school hobby to build confidence is quickly turning into gig after gig; the latest will give the group some national exposure.

With each step, stride and show the group of teens are turning heads.

"It's just been growing and growing, now we starting to just travel everywhere.  We went to Nashville in October, Hollywood in February and now we're going on BET," said 3D Confidence Founder Tamara Lockett.

They will be competing on Black Entertainment's 106th and Park.

"It's a blessing to just show what we can do.  I know for a fact, I think we can take it and win," said Alex Shaw.

But the group knows there's more than one way to win big.  For them, it's all about the three D's: dedication, determination and developing into model citizens.

"I believe in the law of attraction and when you put out positive energy it usually forms," said Lockett.

Lockett knows the challenges teens can face.  She dropped out of high school and became a mother of three before age 20.  She eventually got her GED and is now in college.

Lockett started 3D Confidence so teens could avoid the missteps she made.

"They're my motivation.  They're the reason I do all this because they, it's basically keeping them out the streets.  Giving them something positive to do and showing them they can do whatever they want to do in life," said Lockett.

Starting with believing in themselves.

"I'm glad I started to listen because it's fun and I like doing it," said Keanna Miller who is also a member of 3D.

The group competes next Wednesday during 106th and Park.  They'll go head-to-head with other groups and viewer's can dial in or text their favorite.  Of course, 3D is counting on folks in Green Country to help edge out their competition.
