After just celebrating his 37th birthday, Buzbie, the white rhino at the Tulsa Zoo, has passed away.
Buzbie has been part of the Tulsa Zoo family since 1982.
He and herd mate Jeannie have been together and often featured in our Wild Wednesday segments.
Buzbie had been experiencing some age-related health challenges and it came to the point that zookeepers felt it was necessary to euthanize him.
News On 6 anchor LeAnne Taylor had experienced the Buzbie charm through 6 in the Morning's Wild Wednesday series. She said she is heartbroken by his loss but comforted by the life he led.

"Buzbie had a very long life at the Tulsa Zoo. He will be missed - it just won't be the same," she said.
