Students at Monte Cassino School raised more than $11,000 to get presents for kids on the Salvation Army Angel Tree.

The students were able to shop for 75 kids on Tuesday at Woodland Hills Mall.

"We all have 194 dollars to spend on presents, so mine has a drone and a tablet, so we will be shopping for those and get those," sixth grader Camden Nick said.

Some did chores or babysitting, while others did bake sales.

"What I did was chores around the house, and I sold stuff to people like popcorn and cookies and other stuff like that," said sixth grader London Laubach.

Laubach was on the hunt for some toys and a winter coat for her angel.

She says giving back to others, especially this time of year, means so much.

"I think it's special because for us, I think we have a lot, and we don't think that we have a lot, but we do, so it's nice to help other people who don't have as much," she said.

The students spent two months raising the money, and it's a tradition they do every year.

Sixth grader William Stafila wants to make sure all kids can have a great Christmas.

"So they can have the joy we have with Christmas and get gifts they can play with and enjoy the rest of the year," he said.

If you'd like to adopt an angel, you can come to the mall or click here.
