A. The unit is valued at approximately $3,100.
Q. What if I want a bigger unit?
A. If you wish to buy a bigger unit, you will have the option to pay the difference in price to install a larger unit.
Q. What if I don't own my home?
A. You must own your home to have the storm shelter installed in your garage. If you don’t own your home, you can make 1 transfer and designate someone else to receive the storm shelter.
Q. When will the unit be installed? Does offer expire?
A. Installation will be scheduled by homeowner with FlatSafe at a time convenient for both parties. Installation must be scheduled or completed by March 21, 2015.
Q. How much room will I need to accommodate this shelter?

Q. What if my city or town requires a permit?
A. Some cities and towns require a permit to install a storm shelter. FlatSafe will let you know whether or not a permit is required in your area. If a permit is required, you may request reimbursement from News On 6 up to a maximum of $50.00. See official rules for more details.
Q. Do I need to have a concrete slab ready?
A. Yes, a concrete floor in your garage is needed for installation. Cost will be responsibility of homeowner.
Q. What if additional work must be done to my property to prepare it for installation?
A. Homeowner is responsible for any additional fees or costs associated with installation.
Q. Can I give the safe room to someone else if I don't have a place to put it?
A. Yes! You can make 1 transfer and designate someone else to receive the storm shelter. The recipient must live in the State of Oklahoma and live within News On 6 DMA. A map of the News On 6 DMA can be found here.
Q. Can I sell it if I can't keep it?
A. Unfortunately no, but you can designate someone to receive the safe room for you.
