Arkansas Woman Killed In Crash

BROKEN BOW, Okla. (AP) -- An Arkansas woman dies when her car collides with another vehicle on a McCurtain County road near Broken Bow. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 25-year-old Lena Garcia of DeQueen, Arkansas, suffered internal and leg injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the 2:51 p.m. accident Monday.

Troopers said the vehicle Garcia was riding in was headed east on the road when a vehicle traveling west went left of the center line and collided with the car head-on.

The driver of the other vehicle, 50-year-old Sherry Beth Gulich, was hospitalized in stable condition at an Idabel hospital, while her 3-year-old passenger was treated at the hospital and released.

The patrol says the driver of the vehicle Garcia was riding in, 50-year-old Teresa Wickson, also was treated for injuries and released.
