TULSA, OK -- After a Tulsa Public School employee and two students were found to have the H1N1 virus, classes resumed for two elementary schools.

Most children returned to Jackson Elementary in Tulsa and Andersen Elementary School in the Union School district Monday morning after cleaning crews spent the weekend disinfecting the two school buildings.

Two students at Andersen contracted the "new flu" but all of them have since recovered.  A woman who worked at Jackson Elementary in Tulsa also returned to work on Friday.

State Health officials say it's safe to send your kids to school because these 3 cases were mild and everyone recovered without be hospitalized, but some parents don't agree.

"I could have been a child that already caught it just within a second.  So I don't even think my baby should be there at all.  At the school house right now," said Shalisa Owens, parent.

"The case that has been confirmed was a very mild case. The person is already well and over it. And the Tulsa County Health Department has advised us to take extra precautions but that there is no reason to close school," said Tulsa School Superintendent Dr Keith Ballard.

Dr. Ballard says he is prepared to close school if it becomes a serious threat to the children at the schools.
