TULSA, OK -- A Tulsa company says it has a good way for homebuyers to save money and help the economy and they're doing it from a small studio in south Tulsa.

It's fast, it's high tech and it's coming from a south Tulsa TV studio.

"It's a very exciting age," said Pam McKissick of Williams & Williams.

Pam McKissick is president of Williams & Williams, an auction company.

On Saturday, her company hosted its second online and broadcast absolute home auction. That's an auction where the high-bidder atomically wins.

"We market them. We televise them. We let you look at them. We let you do all your due diligence on our website and when it's all said and done, you tell us what you think it's worth," said McKissick.

The auction was broadcast via the auction network, seen in Green Country, as well as on DirecTV and the Dish Network.

McKissick says potential buyers registered from 29 states, looking to buy some 80 homes located across the country.

"These are some pretty nice little houses; they're in great vacation spots like Arizona, Florida," said McKissick.

McKissick says a home auction is a good place for new homeowners to get their foot in the door. She says the cost of a home bought at auction is usually less than what it would cost to rent the same home, plus she says government incentives, such as an $8,000 tax credit, make it a good opportunity in a down economy.

"If people really believe that we've got to get America back on its feet and solve this mortgage crisis, the way you have to do that is one house at a time. So getting people back into homes where they can steward them by renting them or living in them, fixing them up, that's what this is all about," said McKissick.
