COPENHAGEN -- Chicago is eliminated in first round of voting for the 2016 Olympics.

The IOC is scheduled to make that announcement from Copenhagen at around 11:30 a.m, Central time.

President Obama flew to Copenhagen Thursday to make a final pitch.

Chicago, Rio de Janeiro, Madrid and Tokyo have made their cases to the IOC for more than a year

The 103 members who attended the IOC meeting started voting this morning electronically in a secret ballot.

Tokyo was eliminated in the second round.

The high drama will come when IOC president Jacques Rogge announces the name of the winner, breaking open a sealed envelope and declaring which city has been awarded the games of the 31st Olympiad.

NewsOn6.com plans to livestream the announcement starting at 11:30 a.m.
