OKMULGEE, OK -- The Okmulgee County Sheriff's office made two arrests Thursday in connection with a methamphetamine lab. Billy Ray Nation Jr. and Jeniffer Yancy were arrested at a house near 266st St. and Highway 75 for operating an active "shake and bake" lab.

The Sheriff's Office was in the area investigating another incident when they received a tip that Nation was at the residence and had an outstanding warrant.

Investigator Wes Fish and Deputy Edgar Best smelled the strong odor of an active meth lab when they knocked on the door of the residence and observed the lab in plain view on the kitchen counter when Nation opened the door.

The suspects were booked into jail on the complaints of manufacturing a controlled dangerous drug as well as possession of controlled dangerous drug.

Sheriff Eddy thanked the citizens of Okmulgee for providing the tip and the DA Drug Task Force for their continued assistance with this case and several others in recent weeks.
